On our walk in a canyon near the town of Teocelo, Veracruz, Esme and I found a large vinegaroon (Uropygid sp.) hiding under the bark of a large fallen tree.
The weird looking animal was the largest we had seen so far. When I showed Esme how easy it was to handle the animal, she wanted to give it a try as well.
Another nice photo I made that same day is the above photo of a small green tree frog. Those tiny frogs are hard to find, and even harder to take a photo of.
