The Guard Parrot

Sunday, December 31, 2006 | 1 comment

When Esme and I visited a market in the city of Quetzaltenango (Xelajú, or Xela for short), Guatemala, we spotted a small parrot guarding the merchandise. Esme asked the woman selling the goods if it was OK to take a picture of the parrot, and after we got permission I took a few photos.

Another nice photo I made in Quetzaltenango was taken the next day when we went out for a walk. It is not really nature related, other then the dark clouds that were gathering that day, but I couldn't resist to include it on this page, especially since I consider it a good photo.

Esme and I had a great time in Xela (shay-lah) and have plans to visit this city in Guatemala again in the near future.
