After a successfull installation of Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon on my Acer Aspire 4320 notebook I rebooted the computer, and logged in for the very first time. Not unexpectedly, two notifications popped up, one stating that new restricted drivers were in use and another stating "Software updates available". I had already some experience with the latter, a wonderful way to keep your operating system up to date, on Esme's desktop computer, also running Ubuntu 7.10 at this time of writing.

@Octavio - I haven't been able to try the S-video output yet.

Hi,
First of all, sorry for my bad english.
I want to say thanks for the tutorial, I have the same machine, and everything works perfect following your installation instructions.
I hope this is not too much, but I still have some troubles with the S-video output, have you any solution for that?
Thanks,
Octavio
