In the above photo you can see how the mother scorpion uses its first pair of legs to create a cradle to catch the newly born scorpions that leave her body.

Near her left pincher (claw), you can see a newly born scorpion struggling out of the sac it was born within. As soon as it has freed itself, it will attempt to climb on the back of the mother. If you look close you can see that there is already one newly born scorpion resting on the back of the mother scorpion.
