User agent tweaking, and "Taking Lives"

Saturday, April 24, 2004 | 0 comments

Today Els and I discussed entries in the access logs of our sites. Someone had visited both sites and was easily spotted because the visitor had changed the user agent string of the browser used to visit our sites.

I also searched for a way to change the referer string, and found a nice site that tries to discover as much info as possible about you and your browser.

Later today I received an email from an old classmate. He had read the hint I entered the 10th of April at the Schoolbank site: use Google to read more about me.

In the evening Esmeralda and I went to the movie "Taking Lives".
