Today I continued a discussion on the new browser by Google; Chome, in the Usenet group alt.www.webmasters. Yesterday I had already stated that I don't think that Google's browser is the beginning of a new browser war.

Do you believe that Chrome was developed to support Google Office, i.e. Google Word, Google Calc, etc, as well as just being another browser? In this way Google can develop on-line application that might not be supported on other browsers?
