We saw this beautiful flowering Prickly pear (Opuntia species), also known as nopal or nopales, growing at the side of a road near the town of Acultzingo, Veracruz.

We often encounter species with large yellow flowers during our hiking trips near El Limón Totalco, but don't see nopales with orange flowers often, hence I took several photos.
