This adult female scorpion, a Centruroides flavopictus, was captured on the roof of our house in Xalapa, Veracruz. It was named Romy, after a friend (she suggested to use her name). By the end of May 2005, the scorpion got babies, but sadly none of the scorplings survived. About a month later I put a male scorpion (Pavel) with Romy, and the scorpions mated.
