Today I finished "A wizard of Earthsea", a book I bought second hand some time ago. I had read this book over 20 years ago, and had good memories about it, so when I found it in the book store, I couldn't resist. I like Ursula Le Guin a lot, and have read several of the books she has written.
Read the rest of A wizard of Earthsea.
Hi Ron,
See: A Whitewashed Earthsea - How the Sci Fi Channel wrecked my books, and Earthsea miniseries notes, comments, & links for the Ursula K. Le Guin's opinion on the miniseries, which are (somewhat) based on her books.
Also, see the The Sci Fi channel Earthsea page for more information on the miniseries (and their view).
If you daughter loves to read, and likes stories about young people becoming a wizard / magician, I can recommend Magician by Raymond E. Feist, especially the (longer) revised edition.

Hi John,
Didn't they make a movie about this? It sounds like Earthsea on the SiFi channel. If it is the same I think I should get that book for my daughter (she is 12)
