Comments: Dragonfly close-up

I found a dead dragonfly during our walk in the city of Xalapa, Veracruz. I decided to take the dead insect with me and take some photos of it because it was still looking nice. Back home, I took some pictures of it with my digital camera, a Philips ESP60.

Do you know the order or common name of this dragonfly?

I found one just like this alive floating in my pool last summer. It was awesome looking. I took a couple of great pictures. I'd like to more about this species, but can find any info.
