Since I wanted to relearn C++ programming, specifically how to code GUI applications Qt I needed a the Qt libraries and (some of the) Qt development tools installed on my computer running Ubuntu Lucid Lynx.
I had alread played a little with the Qt version that can be
installed via apt-get
but I wanted to have the most
recent version of the Qt development environment installed. So
yesterday I decided to remove the qt related packages I had
installed, and install Nokia's Qt SDK directly. And since I
encountered a minor bump yesterday while doing so, I redid the
Qt SDK installation today, and this time I got it right by installing
less.
