I took the above photo in Parque de Los Berros, a small, well-known park in Xalapa which houses several Mexican gray squirrels (Sciurus aureogaster). The animals are mostly active either in the early morning, or at the end of the day. They are tame enough to pick up food offered on an outstretched hand.
