Recently molted Vaejovis species on top of its exuvia.
In the above photo you can see a recently molted
scorpion (probably Vaejovis species) on top of its
cast off skin (exuvia) in its burrow. Since the
new exoskeleton of the scorpion is not yet
hardened out the small scorpions looks nearly
white.
