Today, after receiving an email on a website dedicated to Vaejovidae, I made a few pictures of some of the vaejovids (scorpions) I keep. Probably all are Vaejovis species.
The above scorpion is about 1.5 cm from head to the start of the tail. I have seen larger ones on later visits, about 2.5 cm from head to the start of the tail.
The above scorpion was found by Esme on our trip to San Salvador el Seco on the slope of a small volcano near Aljojuca.
The above scorpion was found near El Limón Totalco. My guess is that it's an adult female, gravid. Notice that the left claw has a spot, probably mycosis.
And this little scorpion came with us accidentally in some sand we took from the side of a dirt road near to Aljojuca. It's quite small, less then 1 cm from head to the start of the tail.
