Xalapa by night

Today, just after 6 PM I suddenly heard fireworks outside. I went up the roof of our house with my digital camera to take some pictures.

Since there was still quite some daylight, I had to do some tweaking with the settings of the digital camera to make the pictures appear darker.

The fireworks stopped too soon, sadly, so I took some pictures of Xalapa by night.

The above photo shows the "right" part of calle Hidalgo, as seen from the roof of our apartment.

The above photo shows the "left" part of calle Hidalgo, as seen from the roof of our apartment. As you can see quite some traffic in the street, and there is a bus stop very nearby. At times convenient, but at other times the cause of a lot of noise, since taxi drivers assume that the bus moves faster when they make honk the car horn often and long.

Finally, the above photo shows the hotel opposite of our house: Casa Regia. Last summer when my mother came over to visit us, renting a room in Casa Regia was one option we considered in case we couldn't rent the apartment below us.
