Tonight I finished "Dream Thief" a science fiction book written by Stephen R. Lawhead. In my opinion the book is ok, but far, far removed from the impression the writing on the back of the cover tries to give: "science fiction on the epic scale of Dune and Asimov's Foundation series" and "the most ambitious science fiction novel written by a Christian".
