In the morning, Esme found a juvenile scorpion in her towel after a shower, the hard way: she got stung by the little animal
She had been stung before by this species: Centruroides flavopictus, which lives on the roof of our house. Now and then, a scorpion enters our house: to escape the heat, the rain, or just looking for a better hiding place.
Centruroides flavopictus is not a medical significant species. Esme had been stung by this scorpion species before, and based on her experience the pain would get less in about an hour or so. The sting location would stay sensitive to touch for about a day or so.
