Yesterday at night we wanted to watch 2 DVD movies we rented. The first one, "The Red Dragon" (prequel to "Silence of the Lambs") didn't work with the DVD drive in the computer. When I looked at the DVD it looked like it had been used in cleaning the floor of a large building. So I guessed that that was the reason it didn't work and we brought it back to the shop, which is just a few minutes away.
When we came back, I tried the new DVD, a different movie because they had no more "Red Dragon". But that one also didn't work. And the other DVD we rented... same problem. I tried with a few DVDs I own, but same result. Normal CDs did work however. So I gave up and decided to buy a CD-rewriter/DVD reader combo the next day. Since I wanted to see something, we watched an old Farscape episode: "PK Tech girl". I still consider Farscape one of the best SF series ever.
So today we went out to buy the combo drive and in the night we were finally able to watch those DVD movies. Before we went to bed I took some pictures of our new pet, a scorpion.
